IREL funding Business Source Premier and Academic Search Premier this year.

  • Academic Search Premier is a multi disciplinary database of online journals and contains:
  • Indexing and abstracts for more than 8,300 journals, with full text for more than 4,500 of those titles.
  • PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles.

Access to full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles and company profiles this database is a must for anyone studying business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics.
Access is provided via Ebsco host, and you will find a list of current Ebsco trials there too.

Training on IReL databases - February 12th 2009

Training on our new database Academic Search Premier will take place in the Library training suite on Thursday February 12th at 11.30AM.
This database provides full text access to more than 4,500 journals
(more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles)
Access to this database is possible thanks to the Irish Research eLibrary initiative (IREL).

Sage Sociology - Free Trial

The Library is offering a free online trial to SAGE Sociology journals until 6th April 2009!

Get acquainted with SAGE’s many peer–reviewed journals in Sociology during our free online trial period and have access to over 30 Sociology titles.

Registration only takes a minute, and once completed, you will have hundreds of articles available to you for free.

Closing Early 3rd Feb '09

The Library will be closing at 6pm today the 3rd of Feb.
This is due to the fact that all evening courses have been cancelled due to bad weather.

Library laptops

The library laptop service has been temporarily withdrawn and laptops cannot be borrowed until further notice.

However you can still use the Wi-Fi in the library with your own laptops or the pcs in the mezzanine.
