The Library has a new subscription to the electronic journal -
Journal of Digital and Social Media Marketing

It is a peer reviewed professional journal for all those involved in the marketing of products or services using digital channels. It contains detailed descriptive articles, practice notes, reviews, case studies and opinions, which enable digital marketing professionals to share experiences, views and insight. It also provides a forum for research notes, studies and reports.

You can access this journal from the Databases A-Z on the library home page. It is listed under the letter M as it is published via Metapress..

Marriage Equality Debate- Students Union/South Dublin County Council

The Marriage Equality Debate will be held on Monday 17th November 2014. With the Marriage Equality Referendum scheduled for Spring 2015, the student's union are working in conjunction with South Dublin County Council to host this debate. The Student's Union are hosting this debate in addition to a mock referendum on the 18th & 19th November to raise overall awareness in the South Dublin Area. The debate will be chaired by the Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Fintan Warfield.

The event will commence with a Tea/Coffee reception from 5.30pm followed by the debate at 6pm. There will then be an interval after the first two debates where there will be finger food and refreshments.

The first debate will be on the topic of  “Same-sex couples adoption” and will see two teams for & two teams against. From this, one team for & one team against will go forward to debate on the topic of “Marriage Equality”

R.S.V.Ps should be sent  to or later than Wednesday 12th November.
